Day 1 /Dinner
Arrival to Warsaw airport, meet and greet with the guide and transfer to hotel. Check in for all group, after that time for relax. Evening dinner at traditional restaurant with Polish food tasting.
Day 2 /Breakfast, Lunch
Full day city tour of Warsaw with local guide which show you the best places in the city. We start from the Old Town which is on the UNESCO Heritage list from 1980. The Old Town was painstakingly restored after being completely destroyed during WWII. You will have the opportunity to see the New Town, the Barbican, St John’s Cathedral and the Royal Castle. You will not miss the Saxon Gardens with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Great Theatre with its interesting Apollonian Quadriga in its tympanum, and stroll along the Royal Route to the Holy Cross Church containing the urn with Chopin’s heart. Time for lunch at one of the restaurant located in the Old Town.
After that second part of the tour with impressive Palace of Culture and Science, where we take you to large terrace on the 30th floor from where you can admire the whole Warsaw. Drive through the Ujazdowskie Avenue, an elegant street running from the Trzech Krzyży Square to Belwederska Street, where exquisite tenement buildings, palaces and villas are located, as well as many embassies and government institutions. The last stop on this day will be The Lazienki Royal Park, One of the most beautiful palace/garden complexes in Europe, founded in the 17th century. Back to hotel.
Day 3 /Breakfast, Dinner
Half day Communism Tour. We will start with the first square ever to be built especially for the working people, i.e. Constitution Square. Next we go to get to know the utopian plans of the post-war city reconstruction. The Palace of Culture and Science – a gift from “Uncle” Stalin will reveal its secrets to you. We will not miss the very heart of socialism, i.e. the old seat of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party. Next stop is in Praga district, where we see the typical housing estate with the longest building in Warsaw. The last part of the tour will be visit the Museum of Life under Communism. Here you will experience how people used to live and watch propaganda movies of the 1950s. We also kindly invite you for a typical aperitif (one shot of Polish vodka). Transfer back to hotel.
Evening dinner at the local restaurant.
Day 4 /Breakfast
Morning the last chance for shopping and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
