“Krakow – 5 days at magic city and around”
Probably the most beautiful and fascinating city in Poland and everyone will find something interesting. The city is full of great Polish history, offer art on each corner of the Old Town. For a children we have a lot of legends. And for those who want more we have many tours around the city.
Day 1 /Dinner
Arrival to Krakow airport, meet and greet with the guide and transfer to hotel. Check in for all group, after that time for relax. Evening dinner at traditional restaurant with Polish food tasting. For a welcome dinner we offer you a Polish Folklore Show which present you the best Polish dances and songs.
Day 2 /Breakfast, Lunch
Full day city tour of Krakow with local guide, include the Wawel Hill, Old Town and Kazimierz District.
We start from the Wawel Hill over which tower the Royal Palace with its impressive arcaded Renaissance courtyard and the famous Gothic cathedral - the place of coronation and the necropolis of Polish kings (tour include entrance to the Cathedral). Then through the Kanoniczna Street (the oldest street in Krakow) we walk to the Collegium Maius which is the oldest university college. Here you will see a beautiful Gothic courtyard. Walking through the amazing and magic streets you will finally see the Main Market Square - the largest medieval square in Europe with St. Mary's Church, Gothic church inside which you can admire the impressive altar by Wit Stwosz (Veit Stoss). The Old Town was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1978. Time for lunch at local restaurant.
A tour around Kazimierz - the former Jewish district, preserved in excellent condition until today - will introduce you to the world of their rich culture, customs and history. It was there that the renowned philosopher Mojżesz Isserles (called Remuh) taught, Helena Rubinstein was born, who is considered to have been one of the richest women in the world, and the esteemed director, actor and screenwriter Roman Polanski spent his childhood. The old Jewish district, included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1978, became an even more recognizable landmark in Europe following the release of the famous "Schindler's List".
Day 3 /Breakfast, Dinner
Half day tour to “Wieliczka” Salt Mine which is one of the most valuable monuments of material and spiritual culture in Poland. A million tourists from all over the world visit this please in each year. It is also a world class monument, featuring among twelve objects on the UNESCO’s World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Going down the 380 steps into the salt mine you may have the impression of entering a magical underground city, full of mysterious caves, amazing underground lakes, majestic designs and unique salt carvings. The journey starts at the Danilowicz Shaft. Here, visitors meet their guide, who during their excursion will tell them everything they want to know about the mine history and its secrets Going down deeper and deeper, the visitors will see unusual places, take pleasure in watching the light spectacle on the banks of one of the saline lakes, and learn the famous legend of Princess Kinga, who brought a wealth of salt into the Polish soil. In the middle of the route there is St. Kinga's Chapel. The group has an opportunity to see on their own eyes the power of human hands that once excavated rock salt, as well as magnificent mining tools and machines.
Back to Krakow and free time. Evening dinner at the local restaurant.
Day 4 /Breakfast, Lunch
On this day we would like to show you the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. The most well-know cemetery and genocide site in the world. When you in Krakow it is must-see for anybody. This former Nazi German concentration camp makes a great impression, because it lets anybody at least partly visualize the scope of the Holocaust. The tour of the Museum, included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1978, comprises both parts of the former concentration camp - Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau - and a documentary film presenting the first moments after the camp was liberated.
After the tour lunch at local restaurant. Back to Krakow and free evening.
Day 5 /Breakfast.
Morning the last chance for shopping and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
